As time passed by, cheats got more advanced and harder to detect due to cheats recognising screenshot is coming and therfore toggling the visuals on/off. I have some experience because I am a programmer myself and understand how things work. As I said, cheats got advanced and I have came back to the game after pause, therefore I would like to challenge myself and try to punish cheaters. very late to this. to improve hit detection you can try the following commands: - /cl_packetdup 1 (or 0 if you have a really stable connection) - set /rate as high as possible, usually 25000 or 100000 - /cl_maxpackets 100 (or 125 if the server allows) - /snaps 30 all of these commands impact how you send data to the server, along these commands, low and stable ping also helps. note that you might have unstable ping and not even notice the lags because of client-side prediction in cod4. the ping of the opponent also matters, as well as fps, (you should always have stable fps).
