As some have realised, ALL gaming servers including our teamspeak is DOWN. What happened? When I saw a post today on the shoutbox if the TS is down, I logged in into the server where everything is hosted and noticed ALL FILES AND FOLDERS had an unknown extension and filename. Everything was encrypted. See photo attached. When I messaged Gilly @AAAAAkAAAAA who is always willing to help me with anything, and is also like the co owner of TW, he logged in remotely to TW host and immediately figured out what happened. I had to leave the building to report to work so he was trying to figure out what's the safest thing to do remotely while I made it to work. At this point, all the files are affected on the machine, and even more terrifying, all external drives (14TB of data ) may have been corrupted. I would only know at morning when I return to the building to face one of my ultimate fear. A system restore was attempted, but the machine is off atm so until Im back at the building, then I can restart the machine and take things from there. How this happened? I have no idea. Only things I downloaded were maps from the forum someone posted, a youtube sinusbot plugin update and some other settings I changed with remote access. When will TW servers be back? I don't know. I have a backup of our Promod server only, but not the deathrun and zombies. Worst case scenario is to host from another machine if this problem can't be fixed. Do I know how to fix it? No. This is beyond my knowledge, and the only help I have in saving the servers is from @AAAAAkAAA My greatest fear? If the external drives were affected ( which includes my work and university documents and everything backed up for 6 years) . I have no idea as yet what's the situation, which is terrifying to even think about. Ill only know when Im back at the building to check. At this point, @AAAAAkAAAAA and I are doing our best and try and save and fix our servers and all data that was affected. Server admins who are inactive on teamspeak and the forum would be disabled sooner or later. After members helped created this forum and advertising it on the server, few took the liberty to make an account and helped with suggestions to restructure the server admin system. You can find them on teamspeak generally or in the servers @level 80 admins. ALL admins who are inactive teamspeak and on the forum were disabled until they re apply and follow the new requirements. For higher server admin, you can talk to @Suda and @AAAAAkAAAAA on teamspeak or in game. They are the ones who usually take care of that aspect. Just reapply and once you follow the requirements, you would be fine! Server Admin Requirements: MUST be active on Trini Wolves TeamSpeak server, preferably with a working mic. Note, server admins who are not active on TeamSpeak would be disabled sooner or later. FOR MEMBERSHIP AND SERVER ADMIN: AFTER you have made your application, staff would decide if you can be a temporary recruit. ONLY IF STAFF GIVES YOU PERMISSION, USE OUR TEMPORARY CLAN TAG in the servers so we can know that you are a recruit under review. The server would automatically kick you if use the temporary recruit #Evo or member clan tag evolution without staff permission. 1)IF YOU GET PERMISSION FROM STAFF, Put the temporary clan tag: #Evo at the start of your name. Eg if your in game name is Ghost then use #Evo Ghost as your in game name. THE TEMPORARY CLAN TAG MUST BE AT THE END OF YOUR NAME AND IN COMMON LETTERS. 2)If there is no forum acitivity for you within 2 weeks, your application would be DECLINED. You need 5 more forum posts in order to be accpeted as a member. We don't want players coming on the forum for applications only and not contributing to the community. 3) Don't expect membership in one day. Keep checking and posting updates on your application like in game screenshots of scores etc and be active on the forum. 4)YOU MUST be active on Teamspeak or on our discord for at least a week so we can know you better. 5)Our [HEAD ADMINS] and above would decide if they would grant you membership and server admin. Things that would help your application: - Be respectful and polite. -Support and respect all Evolution MEMBERS. -Be active on the forum. Say Hello, post your views, post and ask updates on your application etc. FOR VIP APPLICATIONS: THESE ARE FOR ACTIVE PLAYERS WITHOUT MICS OR MAY BE IN OTHER CLANS WHO WOULD ALSO LIKE TO HELP US. VIP players are limited to only allowing votes to take place on the servers and taking screenshots when an admin is offline to review. 1) You must have at least 1500 kills on our main promod server. 2) You must be active on the servers and familiar with members/admins. 3) Get 3 votes on your application from staff (clan members and server admins) 4) Staff would let you know when your VIP access is setup. 5) See info on how to use vote plugin. 6) You must have a minimum of 7 posts in the forum. We expect forum participation from you. Players making applications with no forum activity in that two weeks of applying would be DECLINED. With that being said, that doesn't mean you have to start being a post whore , posting multiple useless threads and topics to rack up forum posts. Just be active, say hello, give us some feedback on the servers, opinions etc... Participants who just apply on the forum for admin or VIP with no forum contribution, would be declined.
